The Cinque Terre National Park is a stretch of coast of the eastern Ligurian coast, included by UNESCO among the world heritage of humanity. Characterized by extraordinary views overlooking the sea and five fabulous and characteristic villages, they represent a unique place to visit.
The five villages, hence the name"Cinque Terre", are: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare, in order from east to west. There are numerous paths that join them and extend for about 15 kilometers of coastline. From the end of March to the beginning of November, many paths in the park may be subject to charges.
For those who do not have the opportunity to walk the paths, the use of the car is not recommended, due to the small winding roads on the coast. Instead, the recommended means of transport to arrive and travel through the five countries is the train. For accommodation, neighboring places are also recommended, such as La Spezia or Levanto, which can be easily reached by train.
